Hi welcome! I am Ofelia, illustrator and surface pattern designer. I was born in Mexico and grew up in Napa, California, and the sixth of 8 kids. Ever since I remember I always loved to draw with crayolas and color pencils. One of my favorite things to draw was paper dolls, and I created lots of them. I took 4 years of art in high school, and decided to attend The Art Institute of California-San Francisco, and earned my degree in Graphic Design. I have designed for personal care, snacks, and wine industries for the last 13 years.

After designing for years, I decided to reconnect with my childhood passion: illustration. I took online art classes in Skillshare, Bonnie Christine’s Pattern Design Immersion, and Lilla Rogers Booth Camp. Is where I discover my love for florals and pattern design.

My inspiration and design style is influenced by the colorful and bold of my Mexican culture, growing up in wine country, and nature.

In my free time I enjoy hiking, cooking, reformer Pilates, visiting cute flea markets, and spending time with my family.
